Pregnancy & Postpartum

Anchor & Heart Physical Therapy

TL;DR

Pelvic floor physical therapy at any stage of pregnancy and any point postpartum, whether you have symptoms or want to prepare.

You can start at any point during pregnancy. Many patients come in when they begin experiencing pain, pressure, or bladder symptoms, while others come proactively to prepare their body for delivery. Treatment is tailored to your stage of pregnancy and your comfort level.

After delivery, you can begin as early as 4 to 6 weeks postpartum, or sooner if cleared by your provider. Regardless of the final exit route of the baby, your pelvic floor is still impacted, so we address core strength, scar mobility, breathing mechanics, and a safe return to movement. It is never too late to get support, whether it has been months or years since having a baby.
